Before You Move Forward with Any AI Tool:

• AI tools and contracts may create risks and trigger obligations that are important for physicians and other health professionals to manage. The Vendor or Record Program in Ontario has been developed to try to mitigate these risks and hold vendors accountable by attempting to streamline contract negotiation and placing a premium on privacy and security considerations.  
• If you are a physician working in a hospital setting or other healthcare facility, consult with your organization’s administration to ensure you have authorization to use an AI scribe tool you have selected and to identify any unique requirements they may have.
